2005 Opening Night - Ailish Tynan / Andrew Kennedy / Iain Burnside

By a happy coincidence, this year's opening concert is also the 50th recital that Oxford Lieder has brought to the city and it is a particular pleasure on such a special occasion to welcome both winners of the Rosenblatt Recital Prize (only established in 2003). Ailish Tynan and Andrew Kennedy are also both BBC New Generation Artists, and they are joined by the renowned pianist Iain Burnside, who enjoys a unique status as pianist and broadcaster, known to many through his Radio 3 programme, 'Voices'. This is sure to be an exceptional concert, for which early booking is strongly recommended, and a wonderful opening to the 2005 Oxford Lieder Festival.
