Trains from London
Trains run to and from Paddington twice an hour during the day, with a journey time of approximately 50 minutes.
Alternatively, trains now run via Oxford Parkway to London Marylebone.
Buses from London
24-hour coach services link Oxford to London as frequently as every 10 minutes. Journey time is approximately 75 minutes.
Travelling by Car
There are several options for parking in Oxford, whether in on-street parking or local car parks. We also recommend checking the 'Traffic Filters' section to plan your travel. However you may wish to consider the city's Park & Ride service as an alternative to expensive parking charges in the city centre.
Traffic Filters
Traffic filters are being introduced in Oxford on Monday 14 September, replacing the temporary congestion charge. These will affect you if you are travelling into Oxford city centre by car.
There are 6 locations with traffic filters, and any cars passing during the operating hours without a valid permit may receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).
We recommend travelling to Oxford city centre by public transport. If you need to travel by car, please read the official guidance before you travel to help plan your journey accordingly.
