"As always the front of house staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. The exciting atmosphere [of the Festival] is infectious and I always end up going to more events than first intended and then when it's all over regretting the few that I hadn't been to!" - audience member
DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
Our small Festival team is kind, friendly, supportive, hard-working, open-minded, and ambitious. We strive for excellence in our artistic programming, our educational work, our administrative processes, and the ways in which we welcome our audiences, take care of our artists, and nurture long-lasting relationships with our donors.
We are seeking a like-minded team member to join us in the central role of Development Director. We are looking for someone who will be a passionate advocate for Oxford Song, who will lead our fundraising strategy; foster and maintain excellent relationships with our donors; oversee our Trusts and Grants applications; ensure efficient management of our CRM software; and contribute to our happy team working environment.
Further information about this role and details of how to apply can be found here.
The closing deadline for applications is midday on Monday 13 January 2025.
First round interviews will take place online 16-17 January with second round interviews in-person in Oxford, week commencing 20 January.
FESTIVAL ASSISTANTS 2025
Our Festival Assistants (FAs) are enthusiastic, dedicated and hard-working individuals who are responsible for the day-to-day running of the Festival. Reporting to the Director of Administration, and working closely with the Oxford Song team, FAs will take on a range of duties covering all aspects of the Festival, including box office support, marketing, artist liaison, concert management, page-turning, and front-of-house. Our FAs play a vital role supporting the work of Oxford Song, and help to ensure the overall success of the Festival.
FA roles are ideally suited to someone looking to gain experience in arts administration and event management - previous FAs have gone on to enjoy successful careers in these areas.
Further details will be available in July 2025 and interviews will be held in August 2025. In the meantime if you would like to express an interest, and to be informed when applications are open, please contact Kate Swinburne-Johnson (kate@oxfordsong.org).
FESTIVAL VOLUNTEERS 2025
We rely on our friendly team of volunteers to make the Festival a success. There are many ways you can get involved – stewarding concerts, page-turning, providing airport transfers and home stays for our international artists. In exchange, you will get to experience some exceptional concerts for free. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Kate Swinburne-Johnson to express your interest (kate@oxfordsong.org).
