15 October 2010, 4:00pm - 5:00pm
A Festival Chorus comes together for our first Schumann event of the Festival. Many of the romantic composers wrote partsongs for all sorts of occasions, often producing wonderful and uplifting works. They are now rarely heard, but today we hear a selection of Schumann and Brahms, out on Broad Street (weather permitting - Holywell Music Room if not!) to well and truly bring the Festival to the city. No need for tickets; come and go as you please.
