Throughout her rapid rise to international stardom on the operatic stage, Kate Royal (a National Opera Studio alumna - see 5pm concert) has retained a reputation for her commitment to the recital platform and her song recordings have been widely acclaimed. She closes the 2013 Lieder Festival with a first half of Schubert songs followed by a wonderful selection of Strauss and Mahler.
