Gabriel Fauré: A Life Through Song I

17 October 2015, 10:00am - 2:00pm

Sarah Fox soprano
Anna Huntley mezzo-soprano
Victor Sicard baritone
Graham Johnson piano

As we begin our survey of the complete songs of Gabriel Fauré, Graham Johnson gives a special lecture-recital in two parts, looking at the life and work of this remarkable composer. Anyone who attended last year’s ‘Schubert’s Life & Times’ series will know that this will be a fascinating and illuminating event, as Graham Johnson shares his expertise as both speaker and pianist to introduce us to Fauré.

11.00am: Welcome coffee
11.30am: Lecture-recital part one
12.45pm: A light lunch will be available to purchase
1.30pm: Lecture-recital part two
