Oxford Lieder Young Artist Auditions
19 March 2011, 11:00am - 8:00pm
Auditions for the new Oxford Lieder Young Artist performance programme will take place all day. This programme is replacing the Oxford Lieder Scholarship, and offers even more to young musicians of outstanding promise.
8 shortlisted duos (after CD applications) will perform 45-minute recitals, all open to the public. The best of these young artists will be selected for a series of sponsored recitals around the UK, offering invaluable professional experience to those on the verge of major careers. This scheme will also help to promote the genre of song across the country.
The auditions will be adjudicated by the world-renowed duo of Ian and Jennifer Partridge, and the Young Artists selcted will be announced at the end of the day.
Tickets cost £5 for one recital, £8 for any two, or £20 for a day pass. Available on the door.
