Schools Project Concert: a must-hear event!

16 October 2015, 5:00pm - 5:30pm

The culmination of several weeks of workshops in local schools, this concert is given by the young people who have written their own words and music, and now perform it joined by top professional singer Ciara Hendrick. Each year, this is an inspirational and uplifting event to which all are warmly invited.

Our workshop leader John Webb, joined by pianist Jonathan Williams, has been working in three primary schools in the run-up to the Festival, leading a series of creative workshops based around Shakespeare's The Tempest. Festival-goers who have attended past Schools concerts at the start of the Festival have been unfailingly amazed at the creativity and enthusiasm on display.

Do come and support the hard work and imagination of these young people; if you've not been before, we strongly encourage you to try it out. It's absolutely free and you'll be able to enjoy supper at the Vaults between this and the evening recital.
