Viel Wetterwolken eilen
Herauf in dunkler Pracht;
Wo mag mein Melek weilen,
In dieser schwarzen Nacht? -
Wo er auch immer bliebe
Er steht in Allahs Hut,
Mit ihm ist seine Liebe,
Sein Glaube und sein Mut!

Where does my Melek tarry
In this black night?
Wherever he may be,
Allah protects him,
His love accompanies him,
His belief and his courage.
