Sprecht Gottes Taten aus
Mit neuerweckten Zungen!
Heut’ hat der heil’ge Geist
Viel Helden ausgerüst’t;
So betet, daß er auch
Die Herzen hier begrüßt.
Wen Gottes Geist beseelt,
Wen Gottes Worte reget,
Wer Gottes Gnade fromm
In seinem Herzen heget,
Der stimme mit uns ein
Und preise Gottes Treu’,
Sie ist an diesem Fest
Und alle Moregn neu!

The Holy Spirit has this day
Equipped many a hero,
So pray that He too
Will bless these hearts.
He whom God’s spirit inspires,
He whom God’s words move,
He who harbours God’s grace
Devoutly in his heart,
Let him strike up with us
And praise God’s faith,
Which is renewed at each festive day
And every morning!
