Pozdvihuji očí svých k horám
Czech source: The Bible of Králice (16th century)

Pozdvihuji očí svých k horám,
Odkud by mi přišla pomoc.
Pomoc má jest od Hospodina,
Kterýž učinil nebe i zemi.
Nedopustít', aby se pohnouti
Měla noha Tvá,
Nebo nedřímet' strážný Tvůj.
Aj, nedřímet', ovšem nespí ten,
Kterýž ostříhá Izraele.

I will lift up my eyes
English translation © The King James Bible

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
