Praise of Ale
English source:
Frederick William Harvey
Who first did vat and barrel this care-subduing booze
to him I'd raise a carol each sunday did he choose
And he who first invented such liquor for to make
a mortal man contented e'en when his heart doth ache.
To him I'd raise a tower out-topping towers all
Wherein when hops do flower I'd keep his festival.
to him I'd raise a carol each sunday did he choose
And he who first invented such liquor for to make
a mortal man contented e'en when his heart doth ache.
To him I'd raise a tower out-topping towers all
Wherein when hops do flower I'd keep his festival.
