English source:
Jeremy Sams

I found it somehow pleasing
But then the frost began to thaw
And what I saw appalled me
Not old and grizzled any more
And years and years before me
And years and years before me
Such changes happen overnight
Without the slightest warning
How strange that I’m not deathly-white
This godforsaken morning

And what I saw appalled me
Not old and grizzled any more
And years and years before me
And years and years before me
Such changes happen overnight
Without the slightest warning
How strange that I’m not deathly-white
This godforsaken morning
This godforsaken morning
