Become a Festival Volunteer
We rely on a dedicated team of supporters to take on various volunteer roles throughout the year, from concert stewarding and leaflet distribution to proofreading our Texts and Translations. Hours are flexible and you don't need to make a big time committment, any help is welcomed!
Volunteer roles:
- Concert stewarding and Front of House
- Page-turning
- Publicity support, e.g., by distributing leaflets in your area or displaying an Oxford International Song Festival poster
- Homestay accommodation for young artists
- Transport support
- Text and Translations proofreading
Most volunteering takes place during our busiest months, October and March. However, there are opportunities to get involved throughout the year. As a thanks for your support we offer complimentary concert tickets and access to digital content. It's also a wonderful opportunity to become better acquainted with our permanent team, meet new people, and develop work experience in the arts.
Whether it be just for a single concert or for the whole Oxford International Song Festival, it’s so worth getting involved with the Festival due to the people you meet and the stunning concerts you attend. The singing workshops are fascinating and the concert performers are brilliant, whether they are young and up-and-coming or internationally well known. I have been a Festival steward at a variety of venues, checking tickets and selling programmes and thoroughly recommend joining the team!
