14. SongPath: Jess Dandy & Joanna Harries

17 October 2022, 10:30am - 12:00pm

Presented in partnership with Oxford Botanic Garden and the Department of Psychiatry, University of Oxford

Led by Jess Dandy & Joanna Harries

SongPath’s outdoor interactive events unite musicians, experts on the natural world and mental health professionals. In the glorious autumnal colours of the 400-year-old Botanic Garden, they unearth a wealth of nourishing connections to the world around us through music, poetry and science.

Singers and SongPath co-founders Jess Dandy and Joanna Harries will be joined by lutenist Elizabeth Kenny and guest speakers from Oxford Botanic Garden and the Department of Psychiatry, University of Oxford.

They’ll be premiering a new interactive work written by composer Alex Mills, centred around breath – as well as sharing a new song with words written by participants from SongPath workshops with Oxfordshire Mind this autumn.

Join SongPath as they journey from flowerbeds to fountains, exploring the connective power of walking, talking and music-making together.
