James Bowman (counter tenor)

“15 Minutes of Fame” – At the start of this evening’s concert, rising star tenor Nick Pritchard and pianist Ian Tindale will give a short showcase performance, including songs by Britten.

James Bowman and Andrew Plant both worked with Britten and they will give a programme that includes a number of his songs and arrangements alongside other works he loved. James Bowman, one of the UK’s best-loved counter-tenors, will also talk about his experiences with Britten, including creating the “Voice of Apollo” in Britten’s Death in Venice.
