Kitty Whately performs Wolf, Debussy and Schumann

Mezzo-soprano Kitty Whately first appeared at the 2010 Lieder Festival in an RCM lunchtime concert, and not long after this went on to win the prestigious Kathleen Ferrier Awards. She and pianist Gamal Khamis present Schumann’s touching cycle of “A woman’s life and love”, as well as songs by Debussy and Wolf. Kitty is also joined on the stage by her mother, actress Madelaine Newton, who will intersperse the programme with readings.
Please note that this recital will last for approximately one hour and there will be no interval.
