Master Course - DAY ONE
23 October 2011, 9:00am - 5:00pm
We are thrilled to welcome Dame Felicity Palmer, one of the world's best-known singers, to lead this year's Master Course. Nine duos, often on the verge of major careers, are resident in Oxford for the second week of the Festival, working each day with Felicity Palmer and a guest tutor. Today, Anna Larsson works with the students on Swedish songs as part of our Swedish Weekend (click here for details of Anna Larsson' recital with Matti Hirvonen).
All sessions are open to the public and provide an endlessly fascinating insight into the workings of song performance. Members of the public wishing to attend the classes will be able to move between the sessions of Dame Felicity Palmer and Anna Larsson, which take place simultaneously in the North Wall Arts Centre and the St Edward's College Music School (access only through the North Wall). Sessions run 10am-1pm and 2pm-6pm.
Generously supported by The Tolkien Trust and The Foyle Foundation as part of the Music & Education Programme.
