Mastercourse Concert

31 October 2015, 12:00pm - 3:00pm

During the second week of the Festival, nine outstanding students gather in Oxford to immerse themselves in song and study at the highest level with internationally renowned teachers. This year, bass Robert Holl and accompanist Roger Vignoles lead the course, and the students also receive tuition from pianist Imogen Cooper and mezzo Ann Murray. All coaching sessions are open to the public to observe, and all are warmly encouraged to attend these fascinating classes, which are illuminating for anyone interested in song and the art of singing and performance.

Today's concert represents the culmination of the week's work. These young professionals present a programme that is always richly varied and a highlight of the Festival. The concert will be in two parts with a lunch interval.

The programme will be selected at the end of the week by the course tutors, so we are unable to annouce precise details in advance, but you can be sure of an exicting range of music and poetry and an outstanding concert.
