One of this year's series of free concerts, featuring single masterpieces where poets and composers perfectly align. Today we hear Mahler’s five incomparable settings of Rückert. Gareth Brynmor John was the winner of the prestigious Kathleen Ferrier Awards in 2013, and he is joined by pianist Finnegan Downie Dear, a previous winner of the Oxford Lieder Young Artist Platform.
