Pitt Rivers Museum afternoon
18 October 2013, 1:30pm - 4:15pm
Spend the afternoon in the gloriously eclectic Pitt Rivers Museum. There will be live music at intervals, a slide-show of remarkable photographs from the Andrée Expedition (see Mark Stone concert, 10pm, 18 October) and a specially designed paper trail guiding you around exhibits relating to our Winter Journeys Day theme: Inuit clothing, mammoth ivory carvings, and other fascinating items.
At 4.45pm, after the museum closes to the general public, there will be a talk given by museum curator Dr Laura Peers on the museum's Arctic collection.
(This will end in time to get back to the Holywell Music Room for the 5.30pm concert.)
