These two great Russian poets inspired wonderful settings by composers including Tchaikovsky, Glinka, Rachmaninov, Rimsky-Korsakov and others. Joan Rodgers is particularly renowned for her exceptional performance of Russian song and she is joined tonight by baritone Gary Griffiths, established as one of the most exciting young artists of today.
