Songs by Franz Schubert (Appl / Bartos)

This outstanding duo were very highly commended by Ian and Jennifer Partridge when they auditioned recently for the new Oxford Lieder Young Artist Platform, particularly impressing the judges with their vivid interpretations of Schubert songs. They continue our survery of Schubert's fruitful last years with a programme including settings of Schlegel, Schober, Mayrhofer, and Schulze.

The Schubert weekend features every song Schubert wrote from Die schöne Müllerin in 1823 to the end of his life in 1828, in nine recitals from 14th - 16th October.
