SPRING SERIES 1: Christine Brewer & Roger Vignoles

30 January 2011, 4:00pm

Beginning our tenth year, we have a wonderful opening recital given by the hugely renowned American soprano Christine Brewer, with the inimitable Roger Vignoles at the piano.

The concert's first half features magnificent Wagner's Wesendonck Lieder and a selection of Strauss songs. Christine Brewer and Roger Vignoles have recorded all of these songs and are particularly acclaimed for their partnership in the repertoire of these two composers. The second half is a selection of American songs that they are performing at Wigmore Hall two days before. We could not hope for a more exciting start to the year.

This concert is generously supported by Jesus College and the Kohn Foundation.
