Oxford Lieder is delighted to welcome back world-renowned mezzo-soprano Sarah Walker to lead the third annual residential Master Course for advanced students during this year's Lieder Festival. Sarah has been involved with Oxford Lieder for several years; her masterclasses are always a fascinating delight for audience and participants alike. It is a great pleasure and a privilege to host this special week once more.
The Master Course caters for 9 singer-pianist duos who will be resident in the city from 23rd - 29th October for an exhilarating week of coaching as well as access to the full programme of Festival concerts. Applications are encouraged from all over the world, ensuring a high level of emerging talent.
Classes will take place throughout the day between 24th and 28th October inclusive at the North Wall Arts Centre on South Parade, with classes open to the public on 25th, 26th and 27th. The course will culminate in an evening concert given by the participants as part of the Festival series in the Holywell Music Room, Oxford’s foremost chamber music venue, on Wednesday 28th October.
