Prize-winning baritone Äneas Humm makes his Festival debut with pianist Doriana Tchakarova, with a programme that includes Schumann’s Liederkreis op.39. In the afternoon, over a delicious cream tea in Trinity College’s Dining Hall, Sholto Kynoch reflects on 25 years of the Oxford International Song Festival. The evening concert is given by world-renowned mezzo-soprano Alice Coote and pianist Julius Drake, in a wonderfully imaginative programme that ranges from Purcell to David Bowie, via Mahler, Mozart, Jaques Brel and the Beatles.
