Frau Nachtigall ruft süßen Schall,
Durch’s Laub ein Flüstern zieht,
Das Echo tönt im Widerhall,
Es klingt und singt allüberall,
Das ist ein Frühlingslied.

The hunter winds his horn.
Mistress Nightingale calls so sweetly,
A whisper can be heard through the foliage,
The echo resounds,
Everywhere – sound and song.
