You make everything beautiful,
the ground, the path, the shore where you walk,
you bring light and gladness to everything that sees you.
Can the earth feel gladness
because someone is walking on it,
trampling on it, someone whom it loves?
Don’t ask me.
I only see the glow, how it lingers around you,
hovers above the ground, as if the earth were smiling.
Tread on the one
who rejoices to see you happy.
But not too hard, as if you knew you were loved.
