With lowered languid forehead
Dreaming she waits for the night.
The moon he is her lover;
She wakes in his beams’ embrace,
To her lover alone unveiling
The innocent flower of her face.
She beams and gleams and glistens
And gazes mutely above;
She weeps scented tears and trembles
With love and the pain of love.
