Kreytserova sonata 'The Kreutzer Sonata'
Russian source: Sasha Chorny

Kreytserova sonata.
Kvartirant sidit na chemodane i zadumchivo
Rassmatrivayet pol: te zhe stul´ya, i krovat´ i stol,
I takaya zhe obivka na divane, i takoy zhe ‘bigus’
Na obed, no na vsyom kakoy—to novïy svet …
Ukh!
Bleshchut ikrï polnoy prachki Fyolki.
Peregnulsya sil´nïy stan vo dvor.
Kak nestroynnïy, shalovlivïy khor,
Vereshchat na mïlennïye stekla,
I zaplatï golubïkh nebes
Obeshchayut tïsyachi chudes.
Kvartirant, kvartirant …
Kvartirant sidit na chemodane.
Stekla vïmïtï, opyat´
toska i tish´.

Fyolka, Fyolka, chto zhe tï molchish´?
Bud´ khot´ reshitel´noy i yarkoy:
Podoydi, voz´mi yego za gub
I ozhgi ognyom vesyonnikh gub …
Ukh!

Kvartirant i Fyolka na divane.
O, kakoy torzhestvennïy moment!
‘Tï narod, a ya intelligent,—govorit on
Yey sredi lobzaniy.—
Nakonetsto, zdes´ seychas vdvoyom,
Ya tebya, a tï menya—poymyom …’
