Jaro ('Springtime')

ve svém žárném objetí:
ráj z ní kouzlí v květné kráse,
blaho v každém poupěti.
A co kvítí v říze vesny,
tolik písní v srdci mém,
cítím-li jen zář tvých očí
v okolí tvém čarovném.
Zář když slunko nedá zemi,
bez květu je luh i háj,
jak mé srdce v rozloučení
bez písní že ztrácí ráj.
Spring

It feels its powerful glow:
Multifarious bright flowers
Then rise from the earth.
Likewise, when I am near you,
Song upon song rises from my breast;
When I feel the blaze of your eyes,
I breathe in the joy of your being.
When the sun does not shine,
The earth produces not a single green leaf;
Likewise my heart, sundered from you,
Is devoid of spring and song.

Slunka svit jak líbá zemi
When the sun kisses the earth,

blaho v každém poupěti.
Then rise from the earth.
