Schubert at Home: The Phoenix Piano Trio

Schubert’s Piano Trio No.1 in B flat, D898, is one of his best-loved chamber works. Written in the final year of the composer’s life, it is a piece that ranges from the upliftingly extrovert to the sublimely intimate. Joined by members of Schubert & Co. ahead of this evening's 7.30pm concert, the Phoenix Piano Trio also perform a selection of Beethoven’s arrangements of Scottish folksongs for voices and trio.
