Simply an unmissable concert. This long-established duo perform settings of Mayrhofer, Schubert’s close friend and second only to Goethe in sheer volume of poems set by the great composer. Wolfgang Holzmair's extraordinary understanding and delivery of texts always guarantees a remarkable recital. He is joined by his long-standing collaborator Imogen Cooper, one of the world's great pianists, who is particualrly renowned for her interpretations of Schubert.
