Schubert - Winterreise

15 October 2011, 4:00pm - 5:00pm

Gary Griffiths won the prestigious Guildhall Gold Medal in 2009 and upon graduation from the Guildhall was immediately appointed an Associate Artist at Welsh National Opera. He performs 24 of the greatest songs ever written; Schubert's settings of poems by Wilhelm Müller following a young man wandering in despair - his Winter Journey.

The Schubert weekend features every song Schubert wrote from Die schöne Müllerin in 1823 to the end of his life in 1828 in nine recitals from 14th - 16th October.
