Schumann & Liszt
22 October 2016, 5:00pm - 6:00pm
Alexander Panfilov, an increasingly well-known pianist and recent winner of the prestigious Hastings International Piano Competition, performs the Schumann Fantasie, dedicated to Franz Liszt in 1839, and the mighty B minor Sonata of Liszt, dedicated in mutual admiration to Schumann in 1854. A thrilling exploration of these two legendary pianist-composers, ahead of tonight's performance with Christoph Prégardien which includes a number of Franz Liszt songs.
Festal supper will be available from 6:30pm every evening (except Thursday 20th). Enjoy a delicious hot main meal and side dish between the afternoon and evening recitals for just £11.
