Songs by Franz Schubert (Kargl/ Kynoch)

This outstanding young baritone last appeared at the Lieder Festival in 2006 and has since gone from strength to strength, most recently performing Mahler’s Kindertotenlieder in the Berliner Philharmonie. His programme includes settings of Mayrhofer, Scott, Leitner and Schiller.

The Schubert weekend features every song Schubert wrote from Die schöne Müllerin in 1823 to the end of his life in 1828 in nine recitals from 14th - 16th October.
