Notes on the Programme
PROGRAMME NOTE
Light of the World (for SATB div. and violin)
Light of the World responds to the painting by William Holman Hunt that resides in the side chapel of Keble College, Oxford. It evokes the sacred light and colours of the image through a gentle dialogue between choir and violin, ascending to the upper realms as a message of hope.
