Al fin respiro, o Nice,
Al fin d'un infelice
Ebber gli Dei pietà:
Sento da' lacci suoi,
Sento che l' Alma è sciolta:
Non sogno questa volta,
Non sogno libertà.
E (non t' offenda il vero)
Nel tuo leggiadro aspetto
Or vedo alcun difetto,
Che mi parea beltà.
