Text

Guldskyen
Chinese source: BH

The whole night through a golden cloud slept on the shoulder of the cliff.

When it woke up,
and saw the sun smile,
the little cloud vanished and was gone.

But on the mountain's rugged cheek was left a tear of shimmering dew.
Dew of mourning and silent complaint for the golden cloud that flew away.
