The final day of the Festival! Sir John Tomlinson appears at the Festival for the first time, performing John Casken’s The Shackled King, an epic new work written especially for Sir John. The Choir of Merton College performs Duruflé’s ever-popular Requiem alongside Ave Maris Stella by our Associate Composer Emily Hazrati. To close the Festival, Helen Charlston and Artistic Director Sholto Kynoch perform their new programme, ‘Love’s Labyrinth’, which explores tales of love and betrayal in Classical mythology. A thrilling end to a wonderful fortnight of song.
