39. Endless Forms Most Beautiful: Carola Darwin & Gildas Quartet
18 October 2019, 5:45pm - 6:30pm
Our newly-appointed Associate Composer, Cheryl Frances-Hoad, has written a cycle of songs for soprano and string quartet, Endless Forms Most Beautiful, setting poetry about evolution and the environment by the Museum of Natural History’s three poets-in-residence in 2016: Kelley Swain, John Barnie and Steven Matthews. The Gildas Quartet also performs Fantasias and Chaconne by Purcell.
Endless Forms Most Beautiful was commissioned by Carola Darwin with the support of Arts Council England, the RVW Trust and the Ambache Charitable Trust.
