Schools’ Project Concert: St Frideswide Primary School at the Sheldonian Theatre

07 December 2022, 1:15pm - 2:15pm

Directed and introduced by John Webb

We have been working with eight classes from St Frideswide Primary School since September in our Schools’ Project. During this first term, the children have taken part in singing, writing and compositions workshops and have composed the words and music to their own songs. For years 3 and 4, the songs were based on an inspiration visit to the Museum of Natural History, whilst years 5 and 6 drew inspiration from their trip to the Brecon Beacons.

The classes all come together in this concert to perform the works they have composed under the guidance of inspirational workshop leader John Webb, author Alan Durant. Supported by soprano Katy Thomson and pianist Rustam Khanmurzin, this concert promises to showcase some imaginative and energising new work!

All parents, carers, friends, supporters of the St Frideswide Primary School community and members of the public are warmly invited to attend this concert. Attendance is free and you are welcome to turn up on the day but, if you plan to attend, please do request a free ticket
to assist with numbers.

Further information about the venue can be found on the Sheldonian Theatre website.
