
Exploring Schumann's Dichterliebe: Study Day

Katy Hamilton returns for an in-depth look at Schumann's Dichterliebe, exploring Schumann's fascination with Heine, his extraordinary writing for the piano, and the legacy and performance history of this great masterpiece. Katy Hamilton will be joined by mezzo soprano Ellen Pearson and pianist Francesca Lauri, one of our Young Artist duos, for live musical illustration.
The day will run in two sections: 11am-12.30pm, followed by a break for lunch, and will then resume 2pm-3.30pm.
