Ich sah es an einem Sonntag
Wohl vor der Türe steh’n:
Das tausendschöne Jungfräulein,
Das tausendschöne Herzelein,

So will mir doch die ganze Woche
Das Lachen nicht vergeh’n,
Ich sah es an einem Sonntag
Wohl in die Kirche geh’n:
