Caroline Bourg

Soprano

Caroline Bourg, soprano, was born in Chicago and studied at Boston University, where she earned a Bachelor of Music. She completed a Master of Performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she is currently pursuing an Artist Diploma in Vocal Arts.

Operatic roles include Young Vixen (The Cunning Little Vixen) with Boston University Opera, and performances at Guildhall in roles such as Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier), Clémence (L’amour de loin), Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel), and Poppea (Agrippina). She also recently debuted at the BBC Proms and Edinburgh Festival with the London Symphony Orchestra, singing Seconda Cercatrice in Suor Angelica.

On the concert stage, highlights include solo appearances in Handel’s Messiah, Rutter’s Requiem and Magnificat, Jenkins’ The Armed Man, and Orff’s Carmina Burana. In 2022, she performed in a BBC Total Immersion concert featuring vocal and chamber works by Jean Sibelius. She returns to the Oxford International Song Festival for a third appearance in October 2025.

Upcoming engagements include Rossini’s Petite messe solennelle with the Harlow Chorus and Mahler’s Symphony No. 8 with the Bach Choir and Philharmonia Orchestra at St Paul’s Cathedral.

Caroline has participated in young artist programmes at the Ravinia Steans Music Institute and the SongFest Institute, and has performed in masterclasses with Anne Sofie von Otter and Gerald Finley. A 2025 winner of the Chartered Surveyors Vocal Prize, she is a recipient of support from the Josephine Baker Trust.
