Sara Pavlovic

Sara Pavlovic is a classical pianist who specializes primarily in chamber music and art song. She has graced international concert stages both as a solo performer and as a member of various chamber music ensembles.

The young pianist demonstrates her versatility in genres ranging from solo repertoire to chamber music, lied and new music. She actively seeks to infuse her interpretations with vibrant timbres, complex emotional layers and a transparent essence.

During her academic career, Sara presented her musical skills on international platforms and performed at music festivals such as the Klavier-Festival Ruhr Extra Schicht, Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival Japan, International Euregio Rhein-Waal Music Festival, Hidalgo Festival Street Art Song, PianoFest Sint-Niklaas Belgium and Allegro Vivo Festival. As a winner of numerous international competitions, Sara has solidified her reputation as an expressive and sensitive musician.

Recently, Sara Pavlovic won the Young Artists Platform Prize at the International Lied Festival Zeist 2022 together with her duo partner Yue Wang. Additionally, alongside tenor Zhuohan Sun, she secured the 1st prize at the Berlin Rising Stars Grand Prix International Music Competition in 2021. Sara was honored as a laureate at the 54th IVC LiedDuo Competition in s’Hertogenbosch.

Sara’s musical journey has been enhanced through engagements in international master classes, where she had the privilege of working with distinguished musicians such as Thomas Hampson, Christoph Pregardien, Dorothea Röschmann, Eberhard Feltz, Klaus Hellwig, Georg Friedrich Schenck, Henk Neven, Hans Eijsackers, Christianne Stotijn.

Her artistic work has been generously supported by the DAAD, the ZONTA International Foundation, the Deutschlandstipendium and the Ivan Petković Foundation. In addition, Sara is a scholarship holder of the Richard Wagner Association Düsseldorf and the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation LiveMusicNow.

Additionally, Sara is actively involved in accompanying masterclasses, contributing her musical expertise to the education and development of aspiring artists.

Serbian pianist Sara Pavlovic is a graduate of the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf, where she studied under the guidance of Paolo Giacometti. Driven by her deep passion for art song, she continued her academic journey with Hartmut Höll at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, where she graduated with a Master of Music. Sara further enriched her expertise through postgraduate studies in Lied interpretation.
