Yiwei Deng

Yiwei Deng is a Chinese collaborative pianist based in London. She studied at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and completed her MPerf (Distinction) at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama with a Guildhall Trust Scholarship. She recently completed an Artist Diploma in Collaborative Piano at the Royal College of Music and is currently Graduate Fellow in Collaborative Piano at Royal Holloway, University of London.

Yiwei performs widely across the UK and China and has received prizes including the Outstanding Performance Award at the National Collaborative Piano Competition (China) and Highly Commended Pianist at the Guildhall Jubilee Piano Accompaniment Competition, with her duo partner Eve Pearson Maxwell winning 1st Prize at the 2025 Ashburnham English Song Award.

She has participated in masterclasses with Markus Hadulla, Ralf Gothóni, and Gordon Back, which have shaped her approach to interpretation, ensemble playing, and collaboration.
