Adrian Yuzhe Wang

Violin


Violinist and chamber musician. Bachelor of Music (Hons) from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire with Conservatoire Scholarship award. Recipient of the Harrison Frank Family Foundation Special Scholarship, he is the first Chinese violinist signed by Harrison-Frank Family Foundation. His performances have traveled to China, U.K., Germany, Austria, Singapore, Spain and other countries and cities.

In 2018, under the guidance of composer Gao Hong, he composed his first music work Phoenix Nirvana, Sonata for Violin and Piano which was premiered at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in June of the same year.

In 2019, he entered the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire with high scholarship and studied with Prof. Jiafeng Chen. Since November 2019 he has been studying with Susanne Stanzeleit. During this time, he also received music instructions from world famous musicians, such as Mark Messenger, Radu Blidar, Patricja Kopachinskaja, Julian Lloyd Webber, Nathaniel Vallois, Oliver Wille, Primrose Piano Quartet and others.

From April 2022 to now, Adrian and his “New Elements Trio” hold 3 piano trio concerts series, called “Debussy & Shostakovich”, “River Volga” and “Cinelife” with about 20 concerts around the UK. From June to November of the same year, he was hold 8 series recitals around the UK, called “European Sonatas”. During this year, he was invited to participate in the annual Chamber Music Artists Festival in the UK for a special performance.

In 2023, Adrian was accepted into the master’s program at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Royal College of Music, Royal Northern College of Music and other conservatoires with scholarship. He will study the Master of Music program at the Royal College of Music from September.

Adrian is currently using a violin made in 1781 by Giovanni Battistani Guadanini, provided by the Harrison-Frank Family Foundation.
