Belén García Burgos

Soprano

Belén García Burgos (Alicante, 2000) began her studies of opera singing at the age of 15 with the mezzo-soprano Concha Marcos de León, and the following year she entered the Professional Conservatory of Music of Alicante “Guitarrista José Tomás”. In 2019 she began her higher degree in classical and contemporary music interpretation, specializing in singing at the ESMUC (Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya), where she trained with the soprano Enedina Lloris. In 2022, she received the “Anna Riera” scholarship for excellence, as well as honors in the final recital and the final thesis upon completing her higher education in 2023.

Belén is currently continuing her training with the master's degree in lied interpretation "Victoria de los Ángeles", also at ESMUC.
Belén has carried out projects in different areas of lyrical singing. On the one hand, as an opera and zarzuela performer, she has had the opportunity to perform recitals in various concert halls in Alicante, Valencia, Barcelona and Menorca. She has also participated in staged productions, highlighting her debut as the protagonist, with the role of Lesbina, in the opera Il Filosofo di Campagna, by B. Galuppi and E. Wolf-Ferrari, under the musical direction of Daniel Espasa, and the stage direction of Sergi Belbel, within the context of the Bottega d'Opera of L'ESMUC. In addition, she was a finalist, in 2023, of the singing competition of "Juventudes Musicales de España", in its 106th edition.

It is worth highlighting Belén's career as a lied performer, inspired and supported by her teachers in this field, pianists Francisco Poyato and Josep Surinyac. She has given a large number of recitals in various concert halls, of which it is worth
highlighting her participation in the 2022 Lied Festival "Life Victoria" in Barcelona. She has also recently been selected to participate in the network of concerts of the "Proyecto Musae", of the Ministry of Culture, to give a lied recital at the "Museo nacional del Romanticismo", in Madrid.
