Belén García Burgos
Soprano
Belén García Burgos (Alicante, 2000) began her lyrical singing studies at the age of 15 with mezzo-soprano Concha Marcos de León. In 2019, she started her Bachelor's degree in Classical and Contemporary Music Performance, specializing in voice studies, at ESMUC (Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya), where she trained under soprano Enedina Lloris.
In 2022, she was awarded the ‘Anna Riera’ Excellence Scholarship, and the following year, she graduated with honors. She then specialized in Lied interpretation by completing the official ‘Victoria de los Ángeles’ Lied Master’s program at ESMUC in 2024, where she was mentored by professors Francisco Poyato, Assumpta Mateu, and Josep Surinyac. Currently, she continues her training at the Universität Mozarteum (Salzburg, Austria) under the guidance of renowned pianist Pauliina Tukiainen. She has also attended masterclasses with other Lied professionals such as Felicity Lott, Roger Vignoles, Sholto Kynoch, and Wolfram Rieger.
She has performed numerous recitals in various concert halls, with a notable debut at the Palau de la Música Catalana (Barcelona), where she participated in a tribute concert for the centenary of Victoria de los Ángeles within the "Life Victoria" festival in Barcelona, accompanied by the Orquestra Victoria de los Ángeles. She has also been involved with the "Juventudes Musicales de España" network through multiple recitals in Madrid and Menorca, as well as being a finalist in the 106th edition of their singing competition. She has performed as a ‘LIFE New Artist’ at the ‘LIFE Victoria’ Lied Festival in Barcelona and recently she has been awarded a scholarship to participate in the Lied the Future talent development program, an initiative by the Franz Schubert Association supported by the Banc Sabadell Foundation and the Ferrer-Salat Foundation.
